Mad March

Yesterday was a fine day, felt like the first sunny day in ages and it was a welcome contrast to last weekend.   Having signed up for a fridge delivery “any time between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.”  we were somewhat surprised, yet delighted, to receive a phone call at 7 a.m. super spottum, announcing, “Wir ootside yir front door,”  and presently two very helpful chaps delivered the new item which hopefully will not smell like the old one and will also not disgorge itself of Amazonian tides of water every time I bump the defrost button by mistake.  Gentle readers, the new one has no icebox.  This may yet turn out to be a life style change too far, only time will tell.

With our reclaimed time hanging heavy in our pockets, we of course did the only sensible thing, and finally watched the last episode of Breaking Bad.

After that we had to seek normality, and ended up in Holyrood Park, along with, it seems, half of Edinburgh.
