Happy shortest day, except it’s not, apparently, but as the fluctuations are in terms of seconds only, it’s hardly worth mentioning, apart from in terms of pedantry.   Jings, it’s been ages since I posted anything and you would think there would be loads of chat but there is not, my brain is a bit empty since all the focus has been on loads of work and fitting in Christmas shopping. Oh and Paddington (very good) and The Hobbit III (very sad).  For the first time ever we forgot to go to the Lyceum, so we missed The Bondagers in November.

So, lest this item be accorded the lowly status of placeholder,  I would like to wish everyone a very happy and joyful Christmas.

I hope that you all find some time to reflect on 2014 and to plan a graceful, stately and above all calm entry into 2015.  Yes, I know, fat chance here too but it would be nice to give the semblance.
