Thanks to Rosemary who turned up this report by Dr Paul Abel of the total solar eclipse day on board Boudicca. It sums up the event really well, from the gloom of the early morning to the fantastically moving spectacle of it all, with all the crew up top as well, on Captain’s orders not to miss it.
Some pictures below of another walk round Loch Ore in Fife, it is a trip through woodland, lochside and hillside, with friendly ladies in the cafe. We always seem to snaffle the very last of the soup.
Just looked up the difference between a moth and a butterfly, as I hadn’t a clue what the wee soul below was. Turn out a moth has feathery or saw-edged antennae. I always thought only moths had furry bodies, not so.
