Lost, for words

As you will be aware, gentle reader*, this blog has been held sway by the cruel and unfeeling mercies of an uncaring host for some many months, and the lack of update therein, including possibly several thousand pictures of birds at Loch Leven, has been sorely missed. Well, it has by me.

Due to the remedial work necessary, most of the links to photos have been removed, if there is a old picture you would like to see, please get in touch.

The majority of family history is on the old site, with the exception of the trip to Sicily earlier this year wherein we visited sites that our ancestors certainly would know.

*You will be if you’ve had to listen to me going on about it.

Torre in Messina, restored by the English (British) army in 1800s. Our ancestor Alexander Walker was there at that time as a colour sergeant with the Inniskillen regiment. Tower adopted by the F. Petrarca school in Ganzirri, Messina. October 2022.
