{"id":1506,"date":"2012-04-30T21:53:36","date_gmt":"2012-04-30T21:53:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/?p=1506"},"modified":"2012-04-30T21:53:36","modified_gmt":"2012-04-30T21:53:36","slug":"bw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/?p=1506","title":{"rendered":"B+W"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday we went for a walk along by the wonderfully named Ash Lagoons of West Fife, just to the south of the National Trust darling that is <a title=\"NTS Culross\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nts.org.uk\/Property\/Royal-Burgh-of-Culross\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Culross<\/a>, with its phenomenally wonderful<a title=\"Pottery and Cafe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.culrosspottery.com\/garden\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> pottery shop and attendant Biscuit Cafe.<\/a>\u00a0 This walk was very different from the usual visits to the toun, which have culminated in either a pech-ridden saunter to the top of the hill, or a leisurely saunter round the palace.<\/p>\n<p>The ash lagoons, presumably deposits from Longannet coal fired power station,\u00a0 are encircled by a tarmac cycle path which reaches out into the Forth, with a view of distant Goliath the crane at Rosyth dockyard, and the ever present bridges.\u00a0 We walked for about two hours, viewing cargo sailing up the Forth, industrial landscapes and seals on the islands. \u00a0 Unfortunately my camera batteries petered out before the last of these.\u00a0 Such is life.\u00a0 I could see across to the lands up the braes behind Falkirk, where I spent my early years, and the landmarks we used to view from there, the Christmas trees at Kincardine and the candles at Grangemouth.<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday we went for a walk along by the wonderfully named Ash Lagoons of West Fife, just to the south of the National Trust darling that is Culross, with its phenomenally wonderful pottery shop and attendant Biscuit Cafe.\u00a0 This walk was very different from the usual visits to the toun, which have culminated in [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[13],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1506","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-kirsty"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1506","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=1506"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1506\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=1506"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=1506"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=1506"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
