Elsewhere, we played another gig for the Mincers last night. \u00a0 On the plus side, they raised over a grand for the RNLI.\u00a0 On the down side – someone had to have the paramedics in attendance because it was so hot they kind of keeled over.\u00a0 I hope that person is feeling better now.\u00a0 We also played on Wednesday at Dunfermline folk club, although if you read the Dunfy Press you will believe that still to be in the future.\u00a0 Timey-wimey, huh?<\/p>\n

We had the Children In Need day at work and raised quite a lot of money.\u00a0 I didn’t do the phones this year, will maybe go back on next year.<\/p>\n

For various reasons I met Ali in the National Portrait Gallery<\/a> and can testify that the caf\u00e9 there is still a go-to destination for scones.\u00a0 The galleries themselves have loads to see and I found out that there will be a John Byrne retrospective next year, hooray!\u00a0 Not long till the J D Fergusson exhibition, the last of the colourists season, is on at the Modern Two (I think, that’s where the others have been) .\u00a0 But just go anyway, to see that massive Paolozzi statue of Vulcan striding through the building.<\/p>\n
