Have to admit there is a lot of truth in that, many people seem to take lack of sleep as a badge of honour\u00a0 and I have probably been guilty of that too.\u00a0 The truth for me is that I do wake a lot in the night, then often doze fitfully, without realising it, but this morning I genuinely could not sleep and have been up since 4 a.m.\u00a0 So, I will shortly go downstairs for some tea and to examine my salmon which is marinading in beetroot.\u00a0 I can hear echoes of my past life, as the Menzies vans rumble along the road below the house.\u00a0 Bales of the Sunday Mail will be hitting the doorsteps of newsagents round Fife round about now.\u00a0 Remember that colour supplement was printed on Wednesday, people, it’s old news already.<\/p>\n

Went up to Vane Farm yesterday to see how the birds are managing in this atrocious weather, good to see the reserve so busy even if the eagles are rarely in evidence.\u00a0 I think it needs the severe cold to bring them to the loch.\u00a0 And cheers to the woman in front of me who nabbed the last scone.\u00a0\u00a0 Anyway, saw loads of Whooper swans, one Canada goose, hunners of greylag geese, tufties, goldeneye, buzzard, mallard, wigeon, greenfinch, goldfinch, redpoll and also twelve O.C. on the football pitch in the Bay.\u00a0 Robin, house sparrow, blue tit, coal tit great tit, blackbird, wood pigeon and magenpie at the feeders here.\u00a0 I have replaced the nyger seed feeder so maybe we’ll see more goldfinches here again.<\/p>\n

Lastly, you know how when you change your skin care regime you develop loads of spots?\u00a0 No?\u00a0 Just me then …<\/p>\n
