It’s harder to write when you have nothing to say, that’s a fact. I shall fall back therefore on old faithful, things which make me cross, haven’t had a rant for ooh at least a week.<\/p>\n

First up and with no justification is the latest guest to come stumbling through the front door, clutching a half empty bottle of warm beer,\u00a0 at the house party of language – “I’ll take that”.\u00a0\u00a0 Example, me at slimming weigh in, loss of 1 lb, instructor says “I’ll take that.”\u00a0 I think “Eh. no-one’s offering you anything, and all you have done is turn up with a set of electronic scales, I’m the one doing the graft here, so kindly desist”. \u00a0 And that nice wee Radzi said it on the Children in Need choir programme which is a pity because I was warming to him.<\/p>\n

Secondly, why is it called Kwik Fit if you have to wait until Thursday for the tyre to be delivered and fitted?\u00a0 It’s now Saturday.<\/p>\n

And lastly, why have I still not written to Edinburgh Council about the timings of all the pedestrian crossings which intersect with the city centre tram route?\u00a0 On Thursday evening it took five minutes plus to cross from north side of Princes St. to south side.\u00a0 People actually cheered when the green light finally came on.\u00a0 In the middle of it all an artic did a U-turn at the top of Waverley bridge; I had to shut my eyes.<\/p>\n

The below came to mind when I was thinking up a title for the post, it is a speech of the King, from the Scottish play, Act V scene v.\u00a0\u00a0 Twelve lines and it’s full of quotes which are still current today.\u00a0 Go Willy the Shake.<\/p>\n

She should have died hereafter;

\nTo-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,
\nCreeps in this petty pace from day to day
