birthday Dad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aye well, if you know us then you&#8217;ll know why it&#8217;s been so busy out there and so quiet on here.\u00a0\u00a0 A lovely afternoon yesterday though, father&#8217;s day and Dad&#8217;s 99th birthday.<\/p>\n<p>Clematis are in for Mum &#8211; she tried for many years to grow a <a title=\"Jackman's clematis\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rhs.org.uk\/plants\/details?plantid=469\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>jackmanii<\/em> <\/a>against the rose trellis in Cambusbarron, and dad would regularly go over it with the lawnmower.\u00a0\u00a0 Always purely accidental,\u00a0 and good humour restored after a few exchanged swearies, but I like to think she would enjoy these beauties.\u00a0\u00a0 The blue ones are are a totally different colour in real life, Olympus doesn&#8217;t do Scottish purple.\u00a0 Maybe I need to find out the pantone.<\/p>\n<p>Dad also had a birthday lunch at the church, received their flowers and a huge fruit cake, along with a card signed by every one of the congregation, from the wee tots right up.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2783\"
