There is nothing, and yet so much, to say about my absence from here this summer.\u00a0 I shall leave it to Robert Burns.<\/p>\n

But Mousie, thou art no thy lane,<\/p>\n

In proving foresight may be vain:<\/p>\n

The best-laid schemes o’ Mice an’ Men<\/p>\n

Gang aft agley,<\/p>\n

An’ lea’e us nought but grief an’ pain,<\/p>\n

For promis’d joy!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Still thou are blest, compared wi’ me!<\/p>\n

The present only toucheth thee:<\/p>\n

But Och! I backward cast my e’e,<\/p>\n

On prospects drear!<\/p>\n

An’ forward, tho’ I cannot see,<\/p>\n

I guess an’ fear!<\/p>\n

To A Mouse<\/strong><\/p>\n

But on to the weekend:\u00a0 and a second birthday cake for Miss Lily Alaine Cook, and indeed a cake that will go down in the annals of cakes, made by Fiona.\u00a0 Then a trip to\u00a0 St.David’s harbour, first in the gloaming and afterwards during the hazy lunar eclipse.\u00a0 So that’s us seen lunar and solar in one year.\u00a0 [Grammar police aware<\/em>] .<\/p>\n
