{"id":913,"date":"2011-04-22T07:10:46","date_gmt":"2011-04-22T07:10:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/?p=913"},"modified":"2011-04-22T07:10:46","modified_gmt":"2011-04-22T07:10:46","slug":"no-happy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/banthewasp.com\/?p=913","title":{"rendered":"No happy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a gorgeous week ambling around Perthshire I was brought back down to earth quite sharply, firstly Ali &amp; I attended the funeral of an old family friend, Howard Williams.\u00a0 Howard was a gentleman of quiet courage and will be missed.<\/p>\n<p>These events always bring on a very contradictory set of emotions,\u00a0 deep sadness at the loss but inevitably there is the chance to speak to some people not met for many years.\u00a0 I even fell to wondering how many people I have known in my life, there is (or at least there was) an artwork in the Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh where the artist has written the name of everyone he can remember meeting.\u00a0 It&#8217;s three storeys high.<\/p>\n<p>I also heard from the wonderful Pilates Caroline that she has decided to part company with the organisation she worked with which is very bad news as far as I am selfishly concerned.\u00a0 I will be keeping in touch (who said stalking?) with her until she finds new premises but the onus is now on me to keep up the programme by myself and I think we know how easy <em>that&#8217;s <\/em>going to be.<\/p>\n<p>However, must think of good things, little girl at the train station last night with the loveliest wee pair of floral DMs, fantastic photo opportunities as the haar* sweeps over, around and under the Forth Bridges, four days off and a three day week coming up, and I might finally figure out how to stop Facebook sending texts to my moby.\u00a0 Oh, and I was sent two new free Radiohead tracks.\u00a0\u00a0 Cheers Ed.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">*Haar, as you will know, is Dutch for hair and perfectly describes the clouds\/fog\/mist\/water vapour which hang over the Firth of Forth and sweep in over land with little warning. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a gorgeous week ambling around Perthshire I was brought back down to earth quite sharply, firstly Ali &amp; I attended the funeral of an old family friend, Howard Williams.\u00a0 Howard was a gentleman of quiet courage and will be missed.
