When I tried to upload pictures from our weekend in Beadnell I failed spectacularly, so here I am, having another shot at it.\u00a0 Whilst I do this HM the Queen is doing a stalwart job standing up for over three hours on the trot, in the rain, watching the Jubilee pageant on the River Thames.\u00a0 It’s just coming over that the fly past by a diamond formation of aeroplanes plus a Fairy Swordfish has been cancelled.\u00a0 I’d have liked to see the Fairy Swordfish (ooh, there’s a morse code salute now) as my dad worked on them during the war, in the Fleet Air Arm.<\/p>\n
Now the Royal Philharmonic is sailing past on a barge, as the poor singers are up top (what is it with singers having to be in the front line?) being royally soaked whilst gi’en it laldy on “Land of Hope and Glory”.\u00a0 I did wonder how the orchestra would cope if it rained but they are all under cover.\u00a0 I jolly well hope they have a wee dram ready for the singers when they get back downstairs. \u00a0 Now it’s the sea shanty* which used to be the Anchor butter advert tune but which we knew as “Oh from Wibblety to Wobblety is 18 miles.”\u00a0 Ah, culture.\u00a0 Duchess of Cambridge is looking a bit fed up, all the curl has fallen out of her hair.\u00a0 And Harry just spat over the side of the ship!<\/p>\n
