I’m ashamed to admit that today I visited our water feature and howked out around three kilos of pond weed, or a whole heap of algal mat as Paul informs me. The redoubtable Davey will be round soon to clean out the thing and render it crystal clean, or at least able to flow again. Assorted crisp packets and water beetles were summarily binned or repatriated as appropriate.

Looking forward to the evening reception for Angela and Ross’s wedding, it’s pouring with rain just now but the afternoon weather was better so they should have managed some good photos. The groom was on the radio this morning with Boogie and Dingo, for which he may receive some ribbing. We send them both our heartiest congratulations anyway.
