Totally Ruby*

Well, who has the day off tomorrow?  Oh, that would be me.   Expect pictures of daffodils as I venture out into the unknown terra firma a.k.a. our back garden.   Someone has to tidy it up…

There is a new protocol in this blog thing which results in me deleting everything I have just typed.  Flipping heck, just did it again.  I  need to find out which key I am hitting with my lousy typing style, but it’s just as well there is no audio with this, cos the air is blue.

Stumbled upon this Elliott Smith vid earlier,  Paul and I stood motionless in the kitchen.  We saw him in 1998, in Glasgow, sheesh, that’s 14 years ago, we were still living in Edinburgh.  Long pause whilst I gather my thoughts together.

Elliott died in a strange accident in 2003, which was never really explained.  This clip shows a man not comfortable with being filmed, but as it goes on, the song takes over.

I was rather scared to attend an indie gig in an unknown venue, (G2 in Sauchiehall Street), before we came to know and love Glasgow.  I emailed Hairy Dr Kens of Airdrie (now at the  University of Abertay) about fifty times to make sure that nothing bad would happen to us.  Nowadays I would just stomp right in.

OK, I’ve found the error, if I click after a paragraph, without putting a space in, it deletes it.

Cue email to WordPress…

*Ruby Tuesday if you are still wondering.  Bonus points if you can remember who covered this Stones track.
