Yesterday we were invited to Elspeth & Colin’s Ruby Wedding celebration, the venue for which was dad’s flat in Stirling, yes again, I think he may start to charge us soon. We drove through in frankly atrocious conditions, a trench of intense rain cloud was hanging over the central belt, and it honestly felt as if Scotland was sinking. Nothing daunted, we put up two gazebos in the garden and I have to say that for shower proof canvases they held up pretty well.
There was a rare mix of guests, both family and friends. My photos are not great * but hopefully there will be some better ones shared. Jimmy Black played the bagpipes, just as he did on their wedding day, when he was 14 years old. All in all it was a very happy occasion which we enjoyed very much.
*The one of Emma coming at me with a knife came out ok but she won’t let me publish it.
