Went out to the garden today for the first time properly this year,  only to find a wee hedgehog, dead.  It seems to have become trapped in netting that holds up my sweet peas in the summer, and which I stupidly did not put away for winter.  I feel dreadful about this and can only ask everyone to be very careful with what they leave lying around.  This after a lifetime of recycling, and making sure that the plastic holders for beer cans were always snipped open to prevent anything like this happening.
