Bauxite no more

Roasty toasty Fife still and ever on – went to Burntisland yesterday, and the scene was just lovely – every café was full to bursting, there were queues outside the chippies for cones of chips and cones of ice cream, screams from the shows*, and once I made it to the pool, delight as the waves and the flumes were both functional and full on,  and wee ones clung to their dads in a mini ecstasy of terror.

There is a beach at Burntisland too, but the tide goes out an incredibly long way since the rake of the land is minimal at that point.   You’re half way to Edinburgh before you’re up to your knees.

Some pictures, one of the things my new camera does is take daft shots like these.

*fairground, this one is on Burntisland Links every summer.
