Last night we went over to Edinburgh Zoo for the special adopters’ night.  It was a lovely evening, there was a much calmer atmosphere about the place and it was grand seeing the animals pack up for the night, as it were.  We saw the newly arrived sun bears, and I laughed when one dad said to child “Ye have to be quiet, the bears dinny talk much,” only to have the two incumbents turn on each other with frankly scary roars.   I think Paul’s pictures will be better than mine, since he has a stick thing with which to steady his camera.  I set mine up to 800 ISO (yes, I have just found the knob for that and it’s like firing it up to, well, 11) which was great for fading light but rubbish for movement.

However, I was the only person taking shots when his nibs was up on the Skywalk.  This is a trail in the air of ropes and bars which is some 15 feet off the ground.  There are harnesses.
