Sound of Silence

It’s been a busy old month once again, singin’ and swingin’ and gettin’ merry like Christmas.   It is no great secret that After 8 Mince has been in the studio, as we work towards our goal of having a CD to sell, to raise monies for charity.  There’s still some work to do on that so I am not saying any more just now.

The Mincers did play two consecutive nights – heck, a mini tour of West Fife!  Thanks to everyone in Inverkeithing, the Bay and Dunfermline who came along, especially the After 8 Mince groupies.  It’s a big ask on a winter’s night.   Thanks also for the chance to sample some pretty impressive home cooking both evenings.   Stovies and proper Scottish pancakes, yum yum, or nom nom nom as the young people say nowadays.

Today I am catching up on some much neglected house work, although everything stopped when an unusual flight pattern in my peripheral vision prompted a rush to the window, just in time to see a flock of long tailed tits on the bird feeders.  There is also a turf war going on between two male robins, while a male blackbird tries in vain to chase away everything else.  Life or death for those guys but balm to the soul after we both had our office Christmas parties last night.
