The b(e)at goes on

As indeed does the rain.   Luckily it held off last weekend when we attended Ciara’s first communion and confirmation, and allowed us a very brief but interesting picnic in the Kirkgate park, Kinross.   There was an exhibition there hosted by various local wildlife and history interst groups and if we’d known there  was going to be an open air barbeque then I wouldn’t have had to scamper around the kitchen pretending to put together said picnic then giving up and running to M&S Simply Food aka the garage.  The Bat Conservation Trust insisted we take home a wee knitted bat to join our colony here.  You can see her below.    The venue shortened the occasionally tortuous name choosing process.

And for those of you who are interested, right now outside we have goldfinch, chaffinch, houses sparrow, blue tit and great tit.  It is pouring with rain still, and we’re off to Dobbies to buy more bird food and quite possibly scones.
