Miss Direction

I like this picture, I was actually trying to catch the acrobatic squirrel which is currently raiding Angela-next-door’s peanut feeder, but this shows just how well camouflaged a wee ball of yellow and blue feathers can be in a bare November garden.  He’s in the cotoneaster.

Incidentally,  I was eating my cranberry scone at Vane Farm yesterday when I noticed a recording of  200+ waxwings in Dunfermline that same day.  If you live near me and notice a sudden influx of punky looking pink birds with red blobs on their wings, phone me and I’ll be round.  I do not care if you have not done the hoovering.  Whilst at VF we did see geese flying in to roost, which was quite spectacular.  They were too far away for me to identify, not yet having learned how to spread jam and focus a ‘scope at the same time.  I’m keen but I’m not obsessive.
