Finally made the chocolate beetroot cake last night and I would think that if you were in a particularly fried frame of mind it would prove a wonderful release, since it does leave the kitchen reminiscent of a Schlesinger gore fest.
Went to Andrew Carnegie’s birthplace museum yesterday, it’s in Dunfy. It’s certainly a well laid out and informative display, although I was interested to note that there was little or no reference to the Homesteads lockout or the Johnstown Flood, so in the spirit of fairness here they are now. I admit I am biased since my dad states that Granpa Miller called Carnegie a strike breaker. I would also like to learn more about his wife Louise who apparently hated his mother.
But there’s no doubting that he bestowed an enormous amount on libraries and other good works.
